What are the L.A.W.S.-Law Admissions Workshop Series events?

L.A.W.S. events are designed as a series of smaller format workshops for you to gather more information about the opportunities found within legal education and about the process of applying to law school.  You will have the opportunity to attend a topical panel discussion consisting of Admissions Deans representing leading law schools followed by a question and answer session. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to meet and speak with representatives from 14 of the nation’s leading law schools on an individual basis.

Where and when will the Workshops be held?

Previous years have included L.A.W.S. workshops located in Washington, DC, New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and Atlanta, GA.

Will there be L.A.W.S. events in additional cities?

In future years, other cities may be added.

Why should I attend?

As you consider the options for next steps in your education, we believe there is a strong case to be made for law school and for the career opportunities available to you as a graduate of our schools. Our Workshops will allow you to engage directly with experienced law school Deans of Admission, find out what they look for in applications, discover the innovative new approaches to legal education that are complementing more traditional approaches, and learn about the wonderful range of possibilities available to our graduates. The depth and breadth of the conversations that will be possible are simply not available in traditional one-size-fits-all events.

Who can attend the workshops?

Anyone! Space will be limited so be sure to register online and pre-registration is required.

Will it cost anything to attend?

There will be no cost to attend.
